Reuniting the Time-Travel Family

Emily smiled. "Yes, Shadow. He's inside." She stepped aside to let Aaron and Shadow in, hugging Aaron to her side briefly as he passed. They stood in the den, as if waiting for something. Emily coughed. "My father will be down in a minute. Would you like for me to get you something in the meantime? Water? Tea? Cake?"

Victor walked down the stairs upon hearing voices from downstairs. He was getting frequent visits from the Shadow recently. Victor sighed. It was nice to have the Shadow to talk to, as his wife barely even looked at him anymore. He had apologized countless times, but some things took a long time or never healed. Just as he was about to step into the lounge, Emily came rushing by with a glass of water. Victor smiled before stepping down to the room.
"Hello, Shadow," he said. "What brings you here today?"

The Shadow turned to face Victor, and smiled.
"Ah, Victor. Though I have come numerous times these past few days, I have needed more stuff. But, what I have come here to tell you today, is that I have a human identity! Yes, I bought the house next door to you, and I have moved in. So, maybe we could go on a time travelling vacation soon? You look like you need one."
Victor laughed. "You, Shadow, living a human life? Or, at least, a life with a home and human alias? I can't believe it." The Shadow had never been one to settle down. "Although, that vacation does sound rather nice."

"Well... I do have a house. TONS of furniture... Literally, I emptied out the storage room in my TARDIS. Well, Emily, is Aaron still with you?" Emily nodded. "Oh, great... Well, Victor, wee should plan this vacation."
Victor smiled just a bit. That was classic Shadow. "I'll have to come over and see you house at some point," Victor said, imagining the house packed with tables and chairs, with barely any room to walk between them.
"Well, Victor, we should plan this vacation."
Victor nodded. "You can do that. I have to work, and Emily has school. I doubt that you have a job already, unless you're just working as a cashier at the restaurant down the street..." Victor once again smiled, imagining the eccentric Shadow accidentally heckling customers as they just tried to pay for their meals. Te Shadow was a welcome distraction from his broken home life, with all of his quirks and his attitude of a young puppy.
